Littleton Road Widening Project

Lee County is widening Littleton Road from Kismet Parkway to US 41 in two phases and realigning the intersection at Kismet Parkway and NE 24th Avenue. The widening of Littleton Road to four lanes is listed on the Lee County Metropolitan Planning Organization’s (MPO) 2040 Long Range Transportation Plan.

Phase 1, the western segment of the project, began in January 2020 and was completed in March 2021.  Phase I improvements realigned Littleton Road at the Kismet Parkway/NE 24th Avenue intersection and added a two-lane lighted roundabout at Corbett Road.  The project also included installation of bike lanes, sidewalks and drainage improvements.

Phase 2, the eastern segment of the project, ties into the Kismet Parkway/Littleton Road realignment and widens Littleton Road from the Corbett Road roundabout east to US 41. The new road segment will include an 11-foot-wide traffic lane in each direction and a 12-foot-wide center turning lane with landscaped planting islands.

Road construction began January 2024 and is scheduled to continue through 2025. For more information about the design of this phase, click on the Design button.
